The famous sport company ‘adidas’ announces their own smartwatch, mainly for runners

The question that I know that will be going on in the minds of many is if we are really in smartwatch era. And if really anyone is asked to mention the next company that he/she thinks will be announcing their own smart watch, I doubt if any will mention adidas. Years back, the word smart-watch sounds more like a mirage and I bet you that many did not reason much towards that direction, though one can still argue or say that some big brains reasoned and that was why we are now seeing the boom today for companies that have delved into smart-watch manufacturing.

Unlike our conventional watches that we use mostly to check time and dates, the smart-watch present era that we are witnessing has come to revolutionize our so called conventional time and date watches by giving it numerous and amazing features and functionalities. Just the way our conventional phones are, which we mostly use to make/receive call and send out short messages, but since have been revolutionized into what we now mostly know as smartphones that have in turn enhanced our way of leaving even to the extent of making the world now seem as a little global village whereby we can now have and control the world in our palms by taps of buttons, so are the smart-watches now making things less difficult for the wearer.

Rumours of smartwatches have been filtering the air earlier this year by two great smartphone companies, Samsung and Apple. Approximately a month ago, Samsung became the first to hit numerous markets with their smart-watch popularly known as Samsung galaxy gear. Just recently, Sony the Japanese giant company also rolled out their own smartwatches. Though Apple are yet to release any smatwatch into the market, but there have been strong indication that sooner than later i-watches will be made available in the market.

The surprise of the day that we are waking up into is to hear that the famous sport company ‘adidas’ is not left out amongst the companies working towards smart-watch production, and have even gone to announce their own very smart-watch mainly for runners set for this year’s November launch date. I mention the word ‘surprise’ here, because when we mention things like smart-watch here, there are certain companies that we always look up for and definitely not adidas, but this time around adidas is coming up to prove us wrong and letting us know that they too are interested in smartwatch in some unique ways.

So what are we expecting from the adidas smart-watch to do for runners?

Having termed it as smartest running watch, and since athletes that the watch will be mostly meant for are always concerned with their performance in the field event, the addidas smart-watch is built to perform some form of coaching and training based on the athlete heart rate. The runner will be able to hear audio coach through headphone. The watch will also be capable of telling the runner how far he/she went and also how fast they are. For fun functionality, they can also listen to music with it while they perform their duties.

As I have already mentioned, the addidas smart-watch is slated for 1st November date with a pricing that is said to be around $399 for the device.

I think with the addidas smart-watch put on by any athlete, then Usain Bolt should be trouble by now ‘joke’

Apple gearing up for tomorrow special event

Tomorrow being 10 September, 2013 will mark another round of special event to be held by Apple Inc. These types of events are meant to showcase or let the public know about updates, special announcement and in some cases lunching of new products. The updates could be on introduction of new products entirely or just update on enhanced version of already existing products. In these types of events, a lot of expectations are bound to raise the curiosity of many, especially Apple fans and watching eyes.

From our own angle of view, we can sniff into what tomorrow event will look like or what people should be expecting in that special event. With so much to expect, tomorrow will likely mark the end of some of the rumours that have been making the rounds since on the types of products that Apple will be unveiling this year.

Below are some of the products that one should watch out for in the special event to be organized by Apple;

==>The i-phone 5S – the i-phone 5S has been on the air since last month, but one thing still not sure about the phone is if the phone will actually be called i-phone 5S, but it is certain that it is an upgrade of the current i-phone 5.

==>i-phone 5C – Another expectation from Apple by tomorrow could be the so much talked about Apple cheap phones, i-phone 5C, unlike the other Apple phones, these phones are cheap and intended for emerging markets, the rumour of these phones have been on air for some time now, and so it might not be left out in tomorrow’s event.

==>Apple i-watch – let us not forget that Apple has in the past indicated interest in the manufacture of i-watch, especially now that we can recall how Samsung threw the world agog last week on the lunch of their smart watch. No doubt that Apple will also be aiming to raise the bar here too.

Other things expected will likely include;

=>i-tunes radio – this product is new and allows the creation of one’s own station based on individual song or song performed by a particular artiste.

=>iOS 7 – With a new i-phone at hand, we also expect new upgraded software; the iOS 7 will be Apples newest operating system which has been made available before to developers with the BETA version, so we are expecting to hear something tomorrow on the original version.

This event is expected to take place tomorrow by 10AM Apple PT. so we will be staying tuned to see how the whole event will unfold and get proper updates to the special event.

Civil right defenders on smart bracelets

I made mentioned earlier about Google, Samsung and Apple smart watches, this time around it is neither of those companies nor their smart watches again but smart bracelet developed by Civil Right Defenders campaign group in a bid to help workers that may come under distress.

The smart bracelet has a mobile phone technology embedded right inside it, and when triggered, it sends out an SOS warning message to applications like Facebook and Twitter notifying people around that the wearer is in danger. The warning message from the bracelet can be triggered manually by the wearer or automatically when the bracelet is the being forced out of the wearer’s hand.

Wow! I can say that everything is going smart these days with the dynamic nature of technology and I guess with the high rate of crime such as hostage taking and the likes in some areas around the globe, this will really be of immense help, so we can put hands together in welcoming and encouraging these types of technological innovations and others that will help fight crime.

Google joins the smartwatch race

Google is also reportedly working on smartwatch not long that I mentioned about the Apple and Samsung smart-watch supremacy battle. One will begin to wonder if smart-watches are here to replace smart-phone.

But the difficulty in smart-watch production has always lie in it miniaturising, that is converting it into that small piece of device with all the enhanced capabilities.

Samsung VS Apple, Smartwatches VS Smartphones

Samsung and Apple are indeed battling for supremacy here, you can call it a technological war between the both as Samsung is reportedly working on smartwatches with smartphone features, Apple on the other end was rumoured to be working on an i-watch that can also be used as smartphone.

As both plan to diversify in their brand of products, I want to ask a question here ; Between the Galaxy-watch turned Galaxy-phone and the i-watch turned i-phone which will you go for when the both products rolls out?
