According to scma magazine: A 28 year old man, described by US federal prosecutors as a "sophisticated and prolific computer hacker," was arrested in Suffolk and has been indicted for the alleged hack of US Army and other government-run databases, and now faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

The new Messenger has largely the same functionality as its predecessors, but features a brand new design meant to emphasize its distance from the main Facebook app. Most importantly, friends' avatars are now circular, and have a little badge on them if a friend is using the Messenger app. In other words, it's instantly clear if a friend you're chatting with is using Facebook Chat on the web, or has the Messenger app on their phone and will receive your chats instantly. This distinction is part of what makes apps like WhatsApp compelling. WhatsApp isn't hooked in to any social network, and there's no ambiguity about how you're chatting with a friend.

"This is a refresh of the Messenger brand," says designer Luke Woods, which focuses not just on "mobile to mobile" but on fitting in with iOS and Android and their respective conventions, like the Send button. The previous version of Messenger, Woods says, was an iOS app visually ported to Android. Before that, Facebook for mobile devices was built using HTML 5 for no platform in particular, but Facebook ditched that plan long ago.

In terms of functionality, there are a host of under-the-hood improvements to make sending and receiving messages faster, says product manager Peter Martinazzi. There are also some front-end tweaks that makes the app faster — especially on Android, where the SMS texting feature, which let you text friends who don't have Facebook, has been removed. "We made a big deal about the SMS feature and it just didn't take off," said a Facebook spokesperson. Removing the ability to send SMS texts from within Facebook Messenger is an interesting move, especially considering KitKat, the next version of Android launching soon, will let users pick their own default SMS app. KitKat would provide Facebook with one more place to insert itself into your digital life, and rumor has it Google plans to make its Hangouts messaging app the default SMS app in Google Play devices like the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.


While Facebook won't let you text a phone number from Messenger, the company plans to use phone numbers in a new way to identify its users, just like in WhatsApp. Upon opening Messenger for the first time, it will ask you to provide your phone number. Then, the app can match you with people whose numbers you have, but whom you aren't Facebook friends with. Facebook guarantees your messages will reach somebody's inbox if you have their phone number. "The Facebook friend graph is an important graph for you, but everyone also has a phone graph," says Martinazzi. "These are the people who you aren't Facebook friends with, but you have their phone number, like a classmate or coworker." While Facebook has abandoned its plans to replace your texting app wholesale, it's more dedicated than ever to becoming your de facto messaging app.

The messaging wars are hotter and more fragmented than ever. By cutting visual ties between its messaging experience and its main app, Facebook hopes to get its horse back in the race — because features have never been the problem. If anything, the problem has been branding.

Reports made us to understand that BlackBerry's popular chat application BBM has witnessed over 10 million downloads in the first 24 hours of its re-launch.

"It's been 24 hours since we resumed the launch of BBM for Android and iPhone. And what a day it's been! We've already had more than 10 million downloads of BBM," BlackBerry EVP (BBM)

 Andrew Bocking said in a post on the company's official blog.

In September, BlackBerry had paused the global rollout of its instant messaging service BBM on rival phones, blaming the delay on issues caused by an unreleased old version of BBM (BlackBerry Messenger).

"When we saw almost one million people install an unreleased version of the Android version, another million use workarounds to download BBM onto their iPhones and another six million people pre-register to know when BBM became available for iPhone and Android, we knew we were on to something huge,"

 He noted.

The application has also seen 'overwhelmingly positive reviews' on Google Play and the App Store. BBM has earned 60,000 five-star reviews on Google Play from about 87,000 reviews, he added.

On Apple's App Store, BBM rose quickly in the free app rankings in the first 24 hours, taking the number one slot in more than 75 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Indonesia and most of the Middle East, Bocking said.

BlackBerry said it will add more new features to BBM to promote it as the private social network. 

"While we're excited to bring BBM to iPhone and Android - we aren't stopping there. Work isn't slowing down at all. We committed to delivering a BBM experience on iPhone and Android that was equal to that on BlackBerry 10. That means bringing BBM Video, BBM Voice and BBM Channels...

"My team is still committed to bringing those features to BBM on Android and iPhone in the near future. And we are not stopping there - we have some great new features planned that will build on BBM as the private social network you count on for immediate conversations you can control and trust," Bocking said.

In this post, I am going to share some killing steps to do better blog commenting and getting your comments approved for sure. Blog commenting, if done properly, can get you a high number of back-links to your blog. It also increases your visibility among your niche blogs. Most of the bloggers are aware of these facts and working hard but improper blog commenting leads them nowhere.

After learning about the right ways to do blog commenting and after applying the fundamentals on myself, I have now decided to write about it to share with other bloggers. So, here we go with 5 unbeatable ways to do better blog commenting.

1) Make a proper plan for it.

Anything or everything in which you want to do something good, should be planned properly first. You can not go to any blog randomly and leave a comment to get beneficial back-links.


I suggest you to make a list of 20 blogs of your niche with a good page rank ( 3 or above ). You can do a search for this list. Now start going through each of these blogs, start reading posts that you find interesting and beneficial for you and start making comments. If your blog is new and needs more back-links like mine, you need to spend more time than you think on blog commenting. I would recommend you to keep at least 90 minutes for blog commenting in a day.

Besides back-links, you also need to improve your popularity among your niche blogs and for that too, you need to do blog commenting on a regular basis. After learning the proper strategies to do blog commenting, I have not left a day without blog commenting.

2) Throw away your hesitation.

In the starting stage of blog commenting, you will surely feel a little hesitation on leaving comments on others’ blogs. You might be spending 15 minutes  thinking a lot for a single comment- whether I should write it or not? Will my comment be approved or not? Does my comment looks foolish? If you feel like this, don’t worry,it is normal but you need to vanish it soon. Follow the rule of ‘think less and do more’. Author of the post on which you are commenting has also passed through your stage. He will definitely encourage and appreciate your action.

So just keep you hesitation out of the room and start commenting now.

3) Cut down regular spammy words.

If you write in the comment box ”thank you for sharing this post, nice post, thank you for the information, great post, great work” or any other such words, your comment is never going to be approved. Remember, you are commenting on a blog that has a good page rank. How can expect an experienced author to approve your comment that looks spammy?

For better blog commenting, you need to read the post thoroughly and understand it first. Then leave such a comment that shows, you have gone through the post and you are not posting this comment just for back-links. Posting an original and natural looking comment not only grabs attention from the author and other readers but also improves your knowledge about that particular topic.


4) Get your photo on Gravatar.

If you have not put your face on Gravatar, do it right now. Most of the bloggers take this factor very lightly. I personally mark such comments without any face as spam. If you are living in a society all time with a covered face, who will engage with you? No one. Blogging is also a society. You need to show your identity. This is a basic but most important factor to be considered for better blog commenting.

5) Suggest or inquire something valuable.

Reading the post completely and understanding it and then leaving a normal comment such as ”I liked this advice” or so has become an old fashion now. To grab more attention,You can suggest or add something valuable in your comment that is related to the post.
